Day 11 – Aggressive Driving & Emotional Control
Goal: Recognize road rage, stay calm, and manage your mindset behind the wheel.
This lesson dives into the emotions that drive dangerous decisions. From tailgating and brake-checking to navigating your own frustration, students learn how to stay centered when the road gets heated.
Real-Life Check: How do you feel after a stressful day? Would you drive differently?
These six Drive Lesson Phases align directly with in-car coaching and the classroom curriculum.
Each phase is designed to build real-world driving instincts through:
• Growth-focused lesson structures
• Integration of relevant RCWs
• Supportive, skill-based coaching
Rather than treating each drive as a checklist or test, this structure creates space for students to reflect, adjust, and grow in confidence while connecting classroom learning to real behind-the-wheel experience.
The six Growth Environment Phases are not rigid lesson plans—they are developmental focus areas.
Instructors are encouraged to introduce and reinforce these skills based on the needs of the student, the local driving environment, and available traffic conditions.
What’s essential is that each student demonstrates progress in all six areas by the final drive—not that they encounter every condition on a specific day.
